Lorex Cirrus Push Notifications

Purpose

This procedure provides guidance on how to troubleshoot (LHA/LNK/LHB806/906) systems. The error is “connection failed” when attempting to enable push notifications inside the Lorex Cirrus application.

Procedure

There are troubleshooting steps and questions that can be followed. These will help to resolve issues with the connection failed message when using the Lorex Cirrus with units that are not the LC (Lorex Cirrus) prefix or the LHWF1000/LHB926 [Wirefree 2nd Gen].

Info screen

Please provide the Info screen from the DVR/NVR/LHB (including the mac address) to get the device added for push notifications. [provided the model number isn’t an LC model or LHWF1000/LHB926 system]. The information must be sent to Vitaliy so he can liaison with engineering and have the device added to the push notification server.

Connection failed

This is because you are trying to add a device that is Raysharp but doesn’t natively support the Lorex Cirrus for push notifications. Please provide the Info screen to Vitaliy including mac address in order to get the device manually added for push notifications

Model number

Depending on the model number if it is a LHWF1000/LHB926 (2nd Gen Wirefree) or a Lorex LC model (Lorex Cirrus) you will not need to provide the info screen to Vitaliy. Those units are compatible out of the box with the Lorex Cirrus [including for push notifications] and should not require this SOP for adding push notifications in the Cirrus.
