ANPR Automatic Number Plate Recognition

  • The ANPR option Dahua currently offers in an NVR solution is not available for the USA Market. These NVR models use specific firmware:
    • NVR5000-4KS2,
    • 600-4K&4KS2
  • Reference document “quick guidance for using Vehicle Recognition function in NVR20161220.docx”
  • Those NVR’s will work with the proper ITC (Intelligent Traffic Control) camera, such as the Dahua ITC237-PW1A-IRZ (this is not available in USA market)
  • This camera has special IVS optimized to capture the license plate and interpret the numbers
  • This is more of a “front-end” solution, where the camera has the intelligence (analytics)
  • With those system products configured properly, will capture license plates such that it can be displayed similar to Face Detection. This creates snapshots of plates, along with number recognition. This allows the NVR to be able to create an exportable list of plates to .csv file. You can also do intelligent search to specific plate. Supports Black list, white list of plates.
  • This function is only supported in foreign markets, and is not offered in North America
  • There is a solution for the USA market. This is available through our System Specialists, and is not on our DNA price list. It consists (roughly) of:

1.DSS4004

2.Dell server

3. Special license plate recognition software

4.LPR camera

5.loop detector

  • It is considered a back-end solution, meaning the a high end Dell server (maybe $6,000) running Windows server hosts special analytics to do the plate reading. The information is sent to a Dahua DSS platform (VMS software running on appropriate hardware)
