Product Review Process

Process

Pre-Testing Process

1. A list will be presented from the Product team, Technical Support, Training, and Product Marketing to the Product Review team.

2. TR6, will be requested by the Product Engineer. If a TR6 is not available, then a request will be made for A-stock product.

3. Declaration for sample product is filled out filled out by...

4. Email sent by XXX with pending tasks sent out to the following: XXX "appropriate team members"

5. Senior Product Marketing Manager must "Reply All" and Approve the request.

6. Sales Support Team processes Sample Request.

7. The Tech Manager will approve in the system. What system?

8. Sales Support creates a MO (or Move Order) created by the Inventory Planner. ???

9. Warehouse processes MO, processes the product/s, pull and complete the process. Then notifies Product Review Team that product is available for pickup.

10. Product delivered to Product Marketing Manager office.

5-Day Testing Process

1. Product Review Team member will start the 5 Day review process. When?

2. Matching spec sheet and product -Scope/Checklist?

3. Test features -Scope/Checklist?

4. Ensure product works with Dahua products and VMS -Scope/Checklist?

5. Ensure that the recommended solutions from HQ work.

6. Take pictures of the following:

  • Front and Back of Device
  • Reset Button(Where applicable)
  • Device Pigtail
  • Dip Switches(Where applicable)

7. Product Manager Team will report back with:

  • Information
  • Firmware
  • Recommendation

8. Product Review team will submit a report to:

  • Product Marketing Manager
  • Technical Support Team lead
  • Training Manager
  • Product Managers

9. Camera will be on loan to the following departments:

  • Technical Support: 5 Days Maximum from the day of receiving product.
  • Training Manger: 5 Days Maximum from the day of receiving product.

10. Technical Support and Training Manger provide feedback/recommendation.

11. Pictures of products will be given to the Product Marketing, Wiki and Training team.

  • tests fail or does not work correctly or there is information on the box, the Product Review Team will email the Product Manager team, Team lead, Product Marketing Manager and the Tech Manager.

Optional: Test 3rd Party VMS

Return Process

Should product be determined by Technical Support and Training team for the product to be returned: 1. Product will be returned to Product Marketing Manager.

2. Product returned back to the warehouse in C-stock.

3. A monthly or by monthly return from the Product Marketing Manager storage will occur.

Extended Testing Process

1. Team Lead or Supervisor notifies Product Engineer know, so that the

2. Product Engineer begins transfer process from Product Marketing to Technical Support can start.

3. Product Engineer emails all involved parties when complete.

Notes

  • Product may be needed for this transition to scan, for Serial Numbers by the warehouse, before setting it in a permanent spot.
