Cameras display invalid username/password on the screen

Use the reconnect IPC function from Device Search if the cameras do not have a password other than admin

Camera doesn’t connect using Private Protocol

Please make sure you are using the correct protocol and the correct/compatible camera. If it is a 3rd party camera it may not work 100% and we cannot guarantee compatibility. The camera may need to use ONVIF.

Factory default done and the cameras are not accepting the new password

Please use the reconnect IPC function from Device Search. This will reconnect the cameras and sync the new NVR password to the cameras.

Unable to use reconnect IPC function

If you are unable to use the reconnect IPC function from the NVR and the customer doesn’t remember their previous NVR password(s) you will need to do EWS troubleshooting. IPC will need to be reset and then you can use the reconnect IPC function or modify the cameras individually from device search.

Cameras no longer have a password of admin

Due to the new NVR firmware and security framework/architecture the NVR will sync the NVR password to the cameras for additional security and functionality. Therefore the cameras will have the same password as the NVR first.

Unable to access the EWS of the camera

From EWS Remote Device (Camera settings) use the Web Browse icon to go into the Camera EWS settings directly

Account has been locked on the camera

This may happen with older cameras such as the N133ED with older firmware versions on the LNR600X/NR900X series of NVR’s.

If the customer has a power supply for the camera they can plug it in to the router (ex 12v) or plug the camera into a PoE switch. The firmware must be upgraded with the respective firmware version. IPC Upgrade cannot be used due to the cameras being locked out.

Account has been locked on the camera

This may happen with older cameras such as the N133ED with older firmware versions on the NR900 LNR600X/NR900X X series of NVR’s.

To fix this issue you must first wait until the camera shows it has been locked. Then go into device search and modify the password for the camera back to admin and hit OK. Then reboot the system and it will attempt to sync the NVR password to the camera.
