Description

This article will cover how to configure an IVS Face Recognition on a Dahua recorder with the New SystemUI

Prerequisites

  • IP Camera with Face Recognition added to an NVR, with the New SystemUI, or an HDCVI Camera that is connected to a HDCVI DVR, with the New SystemUI, that has Face Recognition

Step By Step Instructions

1. From the Main Menu select "AI"

2. Select "Database" and then "Face Library".
Select the channel of the camera that has Face Recognition at the top next to "Channel".
To add a new Face Database select "Add" at the bottom. Then type in the name of the Face Database and select "OK"

3. To modify the Face Database select the Paper icon under "Details"

4. To add new faces to the Face Database, select "Register ID"

5. Select the Picture icon on the left and then select the picture file from a USB drive with a picture of the person on it.
Fill out all relavant information on the person on the right.
When the picture of the person has been added and all the information filled out, select "OK" to save the person's face and information or select "Add More" to continue and add more faces

6. Select "Parameters" from the AI menu and then select "Smart Plan".
Select the channel of the camera that has Face Recognition at the top next to "Channel".
Then select and highlight "Face Recognition" (You may need to de-select any other options).
Select "Apply" to save the changes.

7. Select "Face Recognition" on the left.
Select the channel of the camera that has Face Recognition at the top next to "Channel".
Turn the slider next to "Enable" to the On position.
If you would like Face ROI information displayed in the live view, turn the slider next to "Face ROI" to the On position and select "RULE" to choose which ROI rules are enabled.
Select "Setting" next to Period to choose when Face Recognition is enabled each day of the week.
Check the box next the Face Database(s) in the list that you want the Face Recognition to look for.
Select the Gear icon under "Trigger" to choose the settings for what happens when the Face Recogniton alarm is triggered

8. You can modify the following options for what happens when the Face Recogniton alarm is triggered:
Alarm Out - Sets alarm outputs that will be activated when this alarm is triggered
Latch - Sets how long the alarm outputs will stay activated when the alarm is triggered
Send Email - Sends an email, via the settings set in the Email section of the Network settings on the recorder, when the alarm is triggered
Record Channel - Sets which channels are recorded when the alarm is triggered
PTZ Activation - Sets the behavior of a PTZ camera connected to the same recorder when the alarm is triggered
Post-Record - Sets the amount of seconds that are recorded after the alarm event is done being triggered, if "Record Channel" is enabled
Tour - Enables a tour when the alarm is triggered
Buzzer - Makes the recorder emit an audible beeping noise when the alarm is triggered
Log - Records the event information in the system log when the alarm is triggerd

Select "Apply" to save the settings

9. Select "Apply" at the bottom to save all the Face Recognition alarm settings

This article will cover how to configure IVS Face Recognition on a Dahua camera or recorder with the Old WebUI

Prerequisites

  • An IP Camera with Face Recognition, with the Old WebUI; or an IP Camera with Face Recognition added to an NVR, with the Old WebUI; or an HDCVI Camera that is connected to a HDCVI DVR, with the Old WebUI, that has Face Recognition
  • A Computer on the same network as the camera or recoder

Step By Step Instructions

1. From the Main Page of the WebUI select "Setting" at the top.
Select "Event" on the left and then select "Face Recognition".
Select "Face Database Config" at the top.
Select "Add Face Database" if you want to create a new face database
Once you have created a face database, select the Paper icon under "MoreInfo"

2. Select "Registration" to add a face to the database

3. Select "Upload Picture" to choose an image file of the person from your computer's file system.
Type in the Name and other relavent information for the person.
Select "Add to task list" when done filling out all information.
(Repeat this step for as many people as you want to add to the face database)

4. Select "Task List" at the top right. (It should have a number next it for the number of new faces you added via the Registration process in the previous step)

5. Select "OK" at the bottom to process all the additions to the face database.
Then select the X at the top to close this window

6. Select "Face Detection" at the top.
Check the box next to "Enable".
You can modify the options below that, if desired:
Period - Modify when the Face Recognition can be triggered
Record - Sets if the camera's feed is recorded when a face is recognized
Record Delay - Sets how long after a face is recognized for when the recording starts
Send Email - Sends an email, via the settings set in the Email section of the Network settings on the camera or recorder, when a face is recognized
Snapshot - Takes a snapshot when a face is recognized

7. Select "Save" at the bottom to save all the Face Recognition alarm settings

6. Select the X at the top right to close the Details page

Check the box next to "Enable".
Select the drop-down next to "Type" to choose whether the AI is done by the recorder or by the camera.
Select "Setting" next to Period to choose when Face Recognition is enabled each day of the week.
Select the Plus "+" button

9. Check the box next to face database you want to use and then select "OK"

10. Select the gear icon under Setting

11. You can modify the following options for what happens when the Face Recogniton alarm is triggered:
Post-Record - Sets the amount of seconds that are recorded after the alarm event is done being triggered, if "Record Channel" is enabled
Alarm Out - Sets alarm outputs that will be activated when this alarm is triggered
Record Channel - Sets which channels are recorded when the alarm is triggered
Tour - Enables a tour when the alarm is triggered
