Port Forward

You will need to log into your router and input two port forwarding rules for 80 and 37777 to the local IP of your DVR which is XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX

If you have any questions you can ask me directly by responding to this email. After you input your port forwarding rules into your router, go to CanYouSeeMe.org. What is the IP displayed on that site? I will scan you network once I have your response and double check that everything is setup properly.

For help on the Internet setup I will send you our best guides. If you encounter any issues with the instructions, please email me back with where you are stuck and we will fix the issue.

If you feel you do not have a setup which meets either of the criteria for the videos, please proceed to manually generate the setup guide for your DVR. This link will tailor a guide with screenshots and descriptions of the DVR and Router for every step necessary to view your DVR remotely.

Follow this link to the port forwarding instructions. http://portforward.com

Do not change the DVR to Static Mode, leave the DVR in "Acquire an IP address automatically" or in DHCP mode and then proceed with configuring the router.

Once you get to that link, SKIP THE AD IF PRESENTED, Scroll down to the QSEE DVR's, select your DVR model, then your Router Model, and follow the guide. Once completed, goto www.canyouseeme.org and check the ports of your DVR.

The IP address you see on canyouseeme is the IP you will use when you access the DVR when you leave the DVR location, or use any internet the DVR IS NOT connected to.

If you find port 80 is blocked, you can change it internally on the DVR in network settings to 85, then reconfigure the 80 port to 85 in the router.

If all of the ports work, when you wish to see the DVR remotely.

NOTICE this is just and example. Since the 80 port was changed on this DVR, to view it you must include the http:// and the :85 on the end.
