DAHUA TO DEBUT 4K ULTRA HD 12MP CAMERA SERIES AT ASIS

Captures Superior Image Quality for Wide-Area Surveillance

ORLANDO, Florida, September 12, 2016 – Dahua Technology USA, a high-value, total security solutions provider, will debut its next generation 4K Ultra high definition (HD) 12MP camera series during ASIS 2016, here through September 14.

The latest in Dahua’s lineup of high resolution cameras offers a range of upgrades that include reduced compression rates, higher frames per second, onboard storage, a motorized vari-focal lens option, and audio I/O.

“Our Ultra HD camera series enable fast moving objects to be captured at high resolutions, making it more affordable to capture detailed, wide-area surveillance areas that would otherwise require multiple cameras,” said Tim Wang, CEO, Dahua Technology USA.

Optional built-in Intelligent Video Analytics provide the ability to detect and analyze moving objects for improved video surveillance. The camera provides standard intelligence at the edge, allowing detection of objects in various environments, such as abandoned or missing objects.

The Ultra HD series cameras feature a micro SD card slot (maximum 128GB), which can eliminate the need and cost for an on-site server, NVR, or PC for recording video. In the event that the camera loses connection with the central server, recording temporarily stores images on the SD card until the network is restored to prevent data from being lost.

Designed for easy installation on hard surfaces, users have the option to choose from an indoor, box-style model or an indoor/outdoor-rated Bullet or Dome-style housing. The box-style camera has a built-in microphone that allows users to listen in and record audio in the monitored area. Verbal interaction can be communicated with the two-way audio via an external I/O port when a user-supplied speaker is connected.

The Bullet and Dome-style models feature a motorized vari-focal lens that allows adjustments to be made remotely, saving time and money. Both models feature a durable IK10 rating, the highest level of impact energy, to protect the camera from vandalism, damage, and theft. Additionally, both models are protected against water and dust to IP67 standards, making them suitable for indoor or outdoor environments.

All models can be powered by a IEEE 802.3 at PoE switch or a DC12V / AC24V power supply. The camera series conforms to the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) and Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA) specifications, ensuring interoperability between network video products regardless of manufacturer.
