Before you update to V8.4, please review the following:
The new version does not support access control devices of first generation protocol.
1. If you need to continue using them, do not update to the new version.
2. If an access control device of first generation protocol was already added, it will be automatically deleted after update.
Licensing Update for DSS Express v8:
DSS Express v8 access control and video intercom licenses will no longer be available for purchase after June 30th, 2023. Customers who already have these licenses can still purchase additional ones. For new customers interested in access control and video intercom solutions, we recommend using DSS Pro v8.

DSS Express is a flexible Dahua VMS for scalable, reliable and powerful central management. DSS Express provides central management, information sharing, convenient connections, and multi-service cooperation. The software supports up to 256 cameras with a license (or 64 cameras without a license). DSS Express integrates with access control devices, video intercom terminals and offers analytic functions such as object detection.
